How to Create Great Looking Twitter Backgrounds Free using Twitbacks

Yesterday I used an online twitter background creator to try to spruce up my page. For the most part I found the process easy, but there was one point where I got stuck and had to turn to Google for advice. But, I've got it now.

You can use photograph editing software like Adobe and co to create a better background, but it's time consuming and if your not good on Photoshop you risk making a mess - trust me I've tried.

So, I went to the not so old saying: "if you can't win go to Google and get an online application to cheat with".

1. Go to www.twitbacks.com and Create an Account
When on the site you will see "get started here" in the first paragraph of text - click on it. Punch in your information and make sure it is correct. It will be speed up the process

2. Fill in the From bit
Put in as much information as you can or are willing to give away and choose a template. The email field is strange: you must not leave it blank but, you can "untick" the box next to it if you don't want your email to be visible on your background. When you're finished click on the "continue" button at the bottom of the page.

3. Download your Background - the Bit I got Stuck on
Now that you have created your background you need to save it. Near the top of the new page you should see "download background" in small text, click on it. You should see a picture of your background. Right click on it and the click save as - remember where you saved it.

4. Add it to Your Twitter Page
• Log into twitter and click on the settings button at the very top of the page.
• When you are in settings click on design.
• Scroll down to the bottom of the design page and click "change background image" then browse.
• Locate the background file on your computer and double click on it.
• Click "save changes"

Now you've got a background that you can be proud of - your twitter page will stand out above others now. The only catch with Twitbacks is you have to show a tiny add for their site. If you really want you can pay $4.99 to have the ad removed but I personally don't see the point.
