My Books and Articles (under construction)
(This article is intended for humour purposes only and is not intended to be a in-depth political commentary article. The parties are/were real) Welcome to Democracy anyone can run. I doesn't matter who you are you can still run your country. If you can't even spell politics or can't tell the difference between a political party and that hazy Friday night last week. If people vote for you, you're in and we all have a front row seat to watch.
So lets have a look at what we've got:
The Deadly Serious Party of Australia

Pic credit: National Library of Australia
This party lasted from 1980 – 1988 it had policies such as despatching killer penguins to protect the cost from invasion by Argentina.
The Sun Ripened Warm Tomato Party (Australia)
It stood candidates in the first Australian Capital Territory Legislative Assembly elections in 1989 and managed to get 1.17% of the vote.
The Party! Party! Party! Party (Australia)
This party was founded by comedians Johan Golden and Atle Antonsen. It took part in the 2001 elections and got a mind boggling 8%.
Miss Great Britain Party (UK) Official Monster Raving Loony Party (UK)
It ran in the Capital Territory Legislative Assembly elections in 1989 and received less votes than the Sun Ripened Warm Tomato Party with only 0.69% of the vote.

The Miss Great Britain Party consists mainly of entrants to the Miss Great Britain competition. The party is run by a MAN called Robert de Keyser and was founded in 2008. The party has a website where you can find out more: Official homepage
